We specialise in American style smash burgers with a European cooking twist. We use 55 day wet aged Brisket and Chuck from Pure South Handpicked programme—the best meat New Zealand produces. We then further dry age, cut, mince and ball our meat on site in our chiller. This is something you don’t see elsewhere!
Our fries are hand-cut everyday in our kitchen, fermented in salty water overnight, and then blanched and fried in premium NZ beef tallow.
All our sauces are a labour of love—cooked for 10 hours in the back before being ready to add to your burger or the perfect flavour boost to your fries.

Yes! All of our burgers can be done on a gluten free bun.
We also can cater for coeliac customers. We do everything we can to keep everything on these burgers away from anything that touches the regular buns. We even assemble them in a different station and cut your burger on a different cutting board with a separate knife.
Our fries and chicken are also gluten free.
Please note that while we do everything we can to keep things separate, there is always a risk in a kitchen environment.

No, we don’t have a veggie burger on the menu. We are all about celebrating great quality meat here at Marty’s Meats, and we are happy to support other local hospitality venues that do have veggie burgers.
Please note that our fries are also not strictly vegetarian as they are fried in beef tallow.

We don’t do reservations or bookings at Marty’s Meats. We are open and available to anyone to come in and find a seat at one of our communal tables. We are all about creating a sense of community and equality, so squeeze in with others, or find yourself a quiet corner, any time of day.
