The CBD build is powering ahead, and Stage 2 is officially underway!
The legends at Scott Construction Nelson are framing up the new kitchen layout, while the sparkies and plumbers are getting everything ready for our equipment. But the biggest focus right now?
The assembly of our new meat mincing / processing / storing chiller — the true heart of Marty’s Meats.
She’s gonna be a beast. More on that in the next update. 🥩🔥
DESIGNING MARTY’S LOOK
With the build taking shape, Marty and Mikey from Signbiz Tasman are deep in design mode — planning every room, every detail, and every inch of that signature Marty’s Meats vibe.
It’s all hands on deck to bring this place to life.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE CBD STORE
Here’s the first drip of the concept:
Open Tuesday–Sunday, 11:30am–9pm — early December launch (TBC)
No call-in pre-orders
Order at the left side of the bar, collect from the right
No deliveries at the start — we need time to settle into flow
Wait time clock so you know exactly where things are at
Bigger crew = faster food — from 2–3 staff to 8–10 people on stations
No bookings, no functions — everyone’s welcome, always
Communal seating stays: picnic tables, window barstools, oil-barrel leaners, corner seats
Indoor + outdoor seating for around 100 people
Or grab takeaway and enjoy your smashburger anywhere in the CBD
This space is built for freedom, community and that signature Marty’s vibe — not your typical pub, bar, or restaurant setup. And we reckon you’re going to love it.
